What is the Canada Dental Benefit for Pediatric Dental Care?
The Canada Dental Benefit is an interim federal program designed to increase access to restorative dental care for eligible children. It provides up to $650 per child, per year, to help cover the costs of services such as fillings, extractions, and other restorative treatments. To be eligible for this benefit, a child must be under 12 years of age and the family must have an adjusted net income of less than $90,000. Families can apply for this benefit online through a CRA My Account or by calling the dedicated CRA phone line.
